Restaurant employees are often not properly compensated by their employers, who violate many of the following laws:

(A) Tipped employees must be paid a minimum hourly wage in addition to their tips.
(B) Employers may not charge tipped employees for "walk-outs."
(C) Employers may not retain portions of employees' tips. This may include mandatory gratuities.
(D) Employers may not 'shave' employees' time.
(E) Tipped employees (and almost all hourly restaurant employees) must be paid on and a half times their regular hourly rate for hours worked in excess of forty hours per week.
